Day 12 - Santa Fe

Today marks the end of our 2nd week on tour and we are closing in on our first 1,000 miles of cycling. Santa Fe (elevation 7,000 ft.) is close the the highest point of the trip, so I'm guessing that means it is all downhill from here... Ha!

Saturday is a rest day and on Sunday we begin a string of 9 consecutive days of riding.

  1. 9 days of riding?! What did I just get myself into?

  2. Hope that you are enjoying your (well deserved) day of rest. Seems like our riding schedules are officially 100% out of phase with me getting my best miles on the days that you are off the bike! Allen (who is also following your blog) and I started out together until he had a massive tire blow out! Dude, I’ve never seen a Michelin ripped to shreds so badly. He escaped injury., but that was the end of his ride. Your “old friends” Anchovy (yes, yes,…both lower AND upper), Ganado, and Del Monte all say hello. Next week while you begin your new 9 day stretch, I’ll try something new as well: 3 consecutive days of spin class. Ciao for now.
