Day 15 - Texas!

Another day, another state line. We cross into Oklahoma tomorrow...

To all the XC09 and XC11 readers: Our secret weather weapon is Kevin Huber. Kevin was a rider this year from Manhattan Beach to Albuquerque. We jokingly credited him w/ our fine conditions for the first two weeks of the tour. He promised to keep us in his thoughts and keep us connected to a higher power for the remainder of the tour.

Oh yeah, Kevin is a priest. Thanks Kevin!!

  1. Hard to believe you’re in Texas already. Seems like a world away…especially by bike! Hope your divine meteorology holds up through the Midwestern states and beyond. Glad to see you smiling and having good ol’ time.

  2. Frankly, I don't know whether to be happy you've had great conditions or to be envious...it isn't easy being green.

  3. For me the ride to Dalhart was the toughest day of the trip - unbelievable winds. Is Kevin riding again next year? I still have another thousand or so miles to go and I think I want him in my corner. And Jim, no doubt in my mind - I am totally envious.
